These Italian
cookies are crisp and crunchy. They have no butter, full of almonds, and if you
make them out of wholegrain flour they will be healthy as well as tasty. Though
they are twice baked they are not too hard, so if you and your someone special
have a sweet tooth don’t worry about breaking it. First baking makes biscotti
chewy and crumbly. I personally prefer them that way, but the true crunchy biscotti
are born at the second baking.
Some people
put dried fruits, chocolate or other types of nuts. But I add just crushed flax
seeds to make my favorite cookies even healthier.
But if you
don’t like baking you can just buy them from “7 Grain” on Saturday at the
Covington Farmers Market or at Camellia City Market.
Have great
holidays with your loved ones!
