Covington Farmers Market

The kids and I, mostly me, baked all afternoonTuesday. The house smelled of fresh bread all day and the new technique for making the pasta worked nicely (getting fresh ground whole wheat pasta to hold together is tricky).

I am just making enough to see what people like and will buy today, because as you know, freshness is everything when you don't use preservatives, and process the life out of the foods. I think this is what makes the wonderful flavor so surprising to people who have never had fresh ground flours in whole wheat breads.The whole grain pasta and bread is what I am making weekly for my family so nothing is going to waste.

Hope it doesn't rain ....
